In accordance to the 1989 electricity at work regulations it is statutory to test all electrical equipment yearly for compliance.
The certification awarded for electrical products used within the work place is called “portable appliance testing”
The equipment tested should have a green sticker attached to it highlighting the date of next test and the engineers initials that issued the sticker.
A certificate highlighting all the appliances tested is also awarded.
It is the responsibility of the DJ to ensure their equipment is PAT tested yearly. We assume the DJs undergo this testing with the equipment that they are responsible for. As we do not own the equipment used at the events they are supplied to, we are not in a position to test the equipment ourselves.
We do however recommend to all the DJs on our database that they regularly maintain and test their equipment.
If you need proof that the DJs equipment has been tested, please indicate this whilst requesting a quote. We will then not only ensure your receive a DJ relevant to your event and expectations, but we will also provide proof of PAT certification.
